GENERAL DISCRIPTION: The Early Head Start (EHS) Family Consultant (FC) is responsible for providing weekly 90-minute, home-based early childhood education, parenting education, and family support services to voluntary participants in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards. The FC educates and empowers families in the areas of parenting, child development, health, nutrition, mental health, and self-sufficiency, by using outcome based interventions. The FC teaches problem-solving skills and assists families in accessing community resources and existing service systems to promote independence. SALARY: Based on years of experience and education. Classified Salary Schedule - Range 23.
