Hyatt Browning Shirkey Law Firm is looking for one (1) enthusiastic & committed professionals to join our team. We are presently seeking one entry-level legal assistant to work in our Salem, VA office. Responsibilities: · File pleadings with Court Clerk (including electronically, as applicable) · Prepare Court accountings (Salem) · Meet Court deadlines · Write checks and balance checkbooks · Prepare correspondence to clients and the Court · Schedule hearings and meetings · Uphold strict confidentiality regarding clients and cases · Build and maintain excellent client relations · Organize and maintain documents in paper and electronic filing system · Answer multi-line telephone · Notarize documents · Litigation Case management (Roanoke) Requirements: · Excellent typist · Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern office equipment · Excellent organizational skills · Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills · Professional work ethic and appearance · Trainable and being a self-starter · Ability to multi-task and prioritize · Prior experience a plus · Proficiency in Excel and Quicken a plus · Experience with legal billing a plus Training Provided Serious applicants e-mail resume and references to Stephanie@hbsesqfirm.com.
