Description
ISG is excited to bolster our team with a Water Resources Engineer to join our Water Resources team . As a Water Resources Engineer, you will be an ISG Employee Owner working collaboratively with your fellow employee owners to develop creative solutions.
In this role, you will work closely with Jacob Rischmiller , PE, Water Resource Practice Group Leader. You will also collaborate with ISG internal resources for design and project coordination, project execution, specification writers, visualization specialists, and construction administrators. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Prepare and review infrastructure master plans and studies, including stormwater management reports as applicable on project types
• Provide QA/QC for drawings, documents, details, schedules or specifications using programs such as AutoCAD, Civil3D and ESRI ArcGIS that are completed by staff
• Proficiency in various modeling software including but not limited to, XPSWMM, PCSWMM, Infoworks ICM, HydroCAD, Hec-RAS, Hec-HMS, Hydraulic Toolbox and other softwares
• Lead and/or support the design of the rehabilitation or replacement of stormwater and drainage infrastructure
• Assist with the performance and adherence to plans and specifications during the construction process through our Construction Administrators
• Assist with submittal reviews, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, and change orders during the construction phase of projects
• Coordinate and assist with environmental studies, permitting, alternative analysis, and other technical deliverables
• Support and mentor staff through design consultation and QA/QC measures
• Provide expertise on construction sites as needed
• Subscribe to our goals and objectives, operating with a collaborative mentality
• Meet with Clients and Contractors at their place of business or job site
• Provide oversight and project leadership to drive the successful completion of water resources projects
• Prepare and maintain project workplan, which includes schedules, budget, notes, etc. throughout the project lifespan
• Assist in creating the project scope of services, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering or bioproducts and bio-systems engineering
• Experience in managing projects within the water resources industry, such as stormwater management master plans, flood control/analysis, FEMA CLOMR/LOMR, streambank stabilization or restoration, and rural drainage
• 5-10 years of experience in Water Resources industry
• Ability to travel to various job sites and office locations
• Strong communication, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Self-directed, organized and can work independently with minimal supervision
