Sunflower Bank is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the full-time position of Credit Risk Review Analyst II!

The Credit Risk Review Analyst II assists in assessing the Bank’s compliance with applicable regulations related to the lending function. This position conducts independent loan reviews for the Bank’s commercial loan portfolio. The Credit Risk Review Analyst II will perform credit analysis, which will include analysis of financial statements, cash flow, stress testing and collateral analysis. Objectives for the reviews are to ensure individual credits are performing adequately, are properly graded, and are conforming to Bank policy. The reviews and analysis performed will help the Bank manage the risk in the loan portfolio by identifying positive or negative trends from when the loans were originated.
• Evaluate quality of commercial loans and assign risk rating.
• Select loans to evaluate for credit risk according to factors, for example geographical location, and type and amount of loan.
• Record data, for example purpose of loan, balance, collateral, and repayment terms.
• Verify value of collateral.
• Evaluate information to determine whether lending officers have followed guidelines of lending authority, if loans are in compliance with banking regulations, and if required documents have been obtained.
• Identify problem loans and describe deficiencies.
• Assign risk rating indicating borrower’s financial strength and probability of loan repayment.
• Write summary of analysis and reasons for assigning adverse risk rating.
• Coordinate data collection and evaluations of credit quality of commercial loans, and present loan review information and report to management.
• Perform regular evaluation of all credit policies and procedures.
• Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures established by the company.
• Responsible for upholding Fair and Responsible Banking practices and Code of Ethics and Conduct guidelines.
• Understand and participate in the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act program.
Education / Experience Preferred:
• A Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred; or equivalent combination of education and business or credit-related experience.
• Previous experience as a safety and soundness bank examiner a plus
• A minimum of two years or more of experience in related positions.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess strong Math skills with a high degree of accuracy.
Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.
