Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
The Family Matters in Georgia Research Assistant is a critical team member on an NIH funded research project. Major duties include supporting the recruitment of an inclusive group of participants into the study and conducting enrollment activities . The research assistant will clearly and concisely answer current and potential study participant questions. They will also need to screen potential participants to determine eligibility for study inclusion, conduct enrollment phone calls and meet with participants virtually to communicate important study information. The candidate will collaborate with a team of researchers at 3 different sites. Timely updates of any information regarding study participants and all logging of all work done on the study in REDCap is also needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
• Experience in data collection methods such as conducting surveys, making observations, running focus groups, and performing subject interviews.
• Proficiency with Microsoft tools including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to use REDCap to run reports, manage data and update participant records.
• Previous experience interacting with a broad and underrepresented populace, including children and families.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

Work in a standard office environment using computers and a provided study cell phone to conduct work activities.

• Attend recruiting events and promote the study to potential participants in a positive and engaging manner.
• Rapidly respond to email, text and phone inquiries from potential and current study participants.
• Assist in data collection at the Clinical and Translational Research Unit.
