The pay range is $69,000.00 - $124,200.00

The role of the Design Strategy & Concept team within the Home OBPDP organization is to provide both the strategy and inspirational direction necessary to both the assortment and design process within the Home Pyramid. The ideal candidate has an in-depth knowledge of the Home space, a keen eye for identifying market trends and consumer shifts, and is able to craft and articulate visual brand stories that clearly tie back to high level strategies.
Role Responsibilities:
• Research, identify and synthesize consumer, industry and product trends in home.
• In partnership with director and senior designers, develop macro and seasonal concept presentations used to influence both merchant and design strategy.
• Support the life cycle of brand execution from initial ideation through to market launch, ensuring cohesive storytelling and design execution.
•Work closely with design teams across various categories and play a pivotal role in influencing peers and leaders alike
• Effectively manage deadlines and contribute to the growth of the dynamic home team.
About you:
• Four-year degree in Design, Fine Art or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of relevant home design experience
• Computer design system skills including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience in CAD illustration and 2D/3D software a plus.
• Enthusiasm and willingness to explore creatively using AI platforms.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience working in a retail or product development environment
• Ability to build relationships to successfully work in a team environment
• Ability to translate to business objectives into innovative and inspirational product direction.
• Excellent communication skills with flexible and positive attitude.
• Ability to independently manage multiple deadlines and dynamic workflow.
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
