Weelborg Chevrolet of New Ulm is seeking a dependable, motivated self-starter and detail oriented F&I Manager. Position Summary: The Business F&I Manager is responsible for helping customers obtain the financing they need to purchase the vehicle of choice while completing the required documentation for each financing transaction. Essential Responsibilities: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time: 1. Offer vehicle financing and insurance to customers and provide them with a thorough explanation of aftermarket products and extended warranties and a complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies. 2. Contract new business, sell and close deals. Turns 100 percent of closed deals to finance, along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title etc.). Converts cash deals to finance. 5. Collect, receipt, and deposit cash, checks, and credit card transactions. 6. Acquire approval from lenders. 7. Create and maintain quality business relationship with lenders. 8. Verify paperwork involved with cash, finance or loan transactions. 9. Seek new lending institutions and maintain good working relationships to secure competitive interest rates and financing programs. 10. Process financing and leasing deals accurately and secure approval through financial sources. 11. Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect the new and used-vehicle and finance departments. 12. Create and maintain a program with the sales department that will ensure all sales are referred to the F&I department. 13. Train and provide the sales team with information on finance and lease programs and the benefits of the dealership’s financing and extended service programs. 14. Maintain profitability while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction. 15. Promote gap and aftermarket products. 16. Update reports daily with the status of pending deals or contracts in transit. 17. Review and communicate with lenders, managers and customers daily to make sure deals are processed within the same day to minimize delays in funding. 18. Understand all programs and rate options offered by our lenders. 19. Understand all factory incentives, rebates and sub-vented rates & qualification as well as collect all supporting documentation. 20. Solicit extended warranty sales (aftermarket). 21. Handle all cancellations for extended warranties and gap. 22. Remit and register policies with factory (i.e. ESP, Maintenance, etc.). 23. Collect and verify all documents required by dealer, factory and lender. Complies information and prepares reports as requested by management and/or Dealer Principal. Maintains CSI scores that meet and strive to exceed goals. Implement action plan to improve customer satisfaction. Keep employees informed of customer satisfaction goals and their impact on overall scores. Protects gross profit by arranging financing so outside sources do not have in impact on selling margins. Responsible for all paperwork involved with the sale of the vehicle, including obtaining customer signatures and securing payoff and insurance information. Assisting in process troubleshooting as needed, including being a technical resource as needed. Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity. Maintains technical knowledge in areas of responsibility by attending educational workshops, attends manager meetings, reviews publications, researches topics, establishes personal networks, maintains certifications, and participates in dealership training. Maintain training and certifications as required by manufacturer. Other duties as assigned. Detail oriented, be quality minded. Maintain a valid drivers’ license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Punctual and regular attendance. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred or a combination of education and relevant work experience. 5+ years automotive experience in sales and finance preferred. Industry specific software experience preferred. Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Obtain manufacturer certification within 90 days of employment and maintain required certification(s) as required by the manufacturer.
