Beacon Promotions Inc is a rapidly growing, promotional products leader looking to hire the right Buyer to take charge and achieve perfect order. The position works with the supply chain team and internal teams on the day-to-day purchasing, managing inventory and providing timely updates to everyone involved. Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers as well as suppliers. Make informed decisions regarding stock levels and product pricing. Communicates with vendors and internal teams regarding potential delays and works to develop solutions. Work diligently to verify that all items required for production will arrive in sufficient timeliness to meet production schedules. Get weekly updates from Suppliers on open PO's ship and arrival dates to ensure the system has the most accurate and up-to-date information. Bring ideas to management and be able to implement necessary process improvements. Other responsibilities and projects as assigned. Experience: Bachelor's degree in business or a related field 1-2 years procurement experience, highly preferred. Experience with ERP/MRP systems is highly desired. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word and industry standard purchase order software platform. Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills and attention to detail required. Possess traits of honesty, integrity, creativity and flexibility. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with all levels of management.
