Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience preferred
• Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, InDesign and Premiere Pro) experience preferred
Position Summary
The Associate Director of Marketing and Communications will assist the Director of Communications and Public Relations in all aspects of promoting, branding, marketing, communicating and publicizing the UGA School of Law. Duties are directed and guided by an approved strategic plan for communicating/marketing the law school and will guide all work processes. This employee should be flexible, collaborative, and open to meeting the needs of the law school. This role will have some after hour and weekend work necessary for social media monitoring and attendance at a few Law School events.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Skilled in managing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
• Ablity to interact with media, outside vendors and various audiences
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
• Working knowledge of Drupal, WordPress and Mailchimp is a plus
• Knowledge of Associated Press Stylebook
• Ability to work independently and conceptualize projects as well as bring them to fruition
• Knowledge of social media acumen for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter and YouTube
• Basic photography and videography skills as well as the ability to edit and develop finished projects

• Assist with the production of the school's print and digital "publications" such as the alumni magazine, e-communications to various audiences, the annual dean's report, assorted brochures and collateral to support admissions efforts, advertisements as well as other print and electronic messaging
• Capture key law school moments in photographs and videos
• Create in-house videos that will be shared on various law school platforms

• Respond to inquiries from the media and general public
