Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
This position involves a dual focus between facilities management and event coordination to ensure smooth operation of the facility and to enhance a more enjoyable visitor experience. The individual in this position will be responsible for oversight of the buildings, equipment, wells, and general infrastructure, both internal and external throughout the facility.

Physical Demands

Duties/Responsibilities
• Oversight of minor repairs to buildings, such as leaks, painting, and small carpentry.
• Upkeep of equipment, including general routine maintenance and other best practices.
• Managing wells on the property, scouting for leaks and identifying problem sprinklers.
• Jurisdiction of general infrastructure-related problems of the five on-site buildings both internally and externally.
• General upkeep of electrical, HVAC , plumbing and irrigation, mechanical equipment, and buildings interiors and exteriors.
• Responsible for general equipment maintenance, making repairs whenever feasible, and contacting and supervising repair and service vendors for larger work orders.
• Coordinate with outside entities such as Georgia Power, Natural Gas, and Municipal Water offices to insure efficiency in operations.
• Provides support to the organization during events, and will act as lighting advisor and technician for Holiday lights as well as aiding with general equipment transport and materials procurement.

• Communicate with Event Coordinator to gather event requirements, provide updates on set up progress, and ensure all parties are informed of event details.
• Identify and manage event risks and troubleshoot problems that arise during events.
• Coordinates with event sponsors, vendors and exhibitors to ensure they have the necessary resources and support for successful event participation.
• Managing setup and take down for events.
• Providing support to clients and guests during the event.
• Supervise vendors for on-site repairs.
