The pay range is $54,800.00 - $98,600.00

Job Overview:
Target’s Packaging team designs and develops all Target Owned Brand packaging for in-store and online. Under the overall direction of Packaging Leadership and in close partnership with our Product, Creative, Brand and Sourcing counterparts you’ll manage packaging work through the various phases of Owned Brand packaging creation. You will also be responsible for understanding the overall business objectives and establishing the optimal packaging approach to deliver on the business and guest needs. As part of a global team spanning the U.S., China and India, you’ll have partners overseas, as well as international vendors and suppliers. Support Project Plan, Stage-Gate Approach & End-to-End Timing & Action Management to support an integrated project & packaging creation process
• Ensure projects align with core project calendar and deliver on business objectives, strategy, and project goals
• Partners with Sr./Packaging Development Manager, project teams, & stakeholders to define project requirements, constraints, and assumptions in order to establish the project deliverables, resource & skills needed, and T&A for packaging execution
• Facilitates packaging tasks as assigned within the project plan and drives accountability as needed
• Identifies opportunities for efficiencies by leveraging analytics, reporting, & hind-sighting to drive continuous improvements
• Partners with Sr./Packaging Development Manager when establishing a single source-of-truth T&A that clearly outlines owners, actions, and timing throughout Packaging Execution
• Partners with Sr./Packaging Development Manager to track T&A activities, document changes to drive accountability, and apply learnings to future projects
• Escalates issues efficiently and effectively while facilitating communication between key stakeholders to assess the best course of action for each project
Project resource management activities & process
• Partners with key stakeholders to align resources to project plans to achieve desired outcomes
• Ensures that resources & skills are appropriately aligned to meet the deliverables of the project
• Tracks resource changes, risks & applies learnings to future projects
Drive Owned Brand Business Results by facilitating the cross-functional Owned Brand Packaging creation process
• Unbiased, thought partner that collaborates with other PDMs and leads CFT members through Owned Brand packaging creation
• Facilitate packaging cross-functional team meetings, phase & stage-gate meetings
• Partners with Sr./Packaging Development Manager to identify, track, & facilitate risk mitigation plans by anticipating potential roadblocks & risk before they occur, understand implications of risk and escalating conclusions to the appropriate levels.
• Use problem-solving & critical-thinking skills to facilitate efficient and effective decision-making within the cross-functional team
• Partner with the Sr./Packaging Development Manager on post-launch project evaluations and use lessons learned to identify opportunities to enhance future project execution
Minimum Job Requirements
• Four-year degree and/or 1-2 years of Project Management experience or experience running large cross-functional projects
• Problem solving and critical thinking skills to challenge the status quo
• Strategic proactive planning skills balanced with initiative to urgently resolve issues
• Resilience in the face of challenges

• Organizational skills, effective written/verbal communication skills
Desired Requirements
• Project Management Certificate, PMP Certification, or Agile training
• Understanding of change management best practices
• Knowledge of Project Management systems & tools
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
