Job Functions
Job Summary
This position assists in engineering work related to the development, testing, maintenance, and documentation of control systems. These controls systems are made up of PLCs, Ethernet networks, touch screen HMIs and industry specific controllers. Provides assistance with new product development projects as assigned by manager. Other various engineering related tasks may be needed.
Job Functions (Essential)
• Assist the controls team with building simulators
• Assist with the development of electrical schematics
• Help with writing test procedures for validating new designs.
• Complete work according to standard engineering procedures
• Perform special project as required from time to time
• Completes work according to standard engineering principles and practices
• Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.
• Perform special projects as required

Qualifications
Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Required:
• Third-year or Fourth-year Engineering student
• AC & DC electrical aptitude
• Strong attention to detail required
• Basic computer skills; must have strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, & Power Point
• Ability to work with complex mathematical concepts and apply those concepts to practical/real world situations
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as ASME, ASTM, ISO, SAE & other industry standards
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and to prioritize accordingly
• Strong oral, written and communication skills
Preferred:
• Electrical or Automotive engineering student
