Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
Our Senior Managing Consultant for Transaction Services provides professional consultation for human resources best practices that support the university and/or department in achieving stated goals and objectives. As a Sr. Consultant you will support initiatives that align human capital with organizational goals, ensure efficiency and flexibility of the workforce to better respond to internal and external change, and improve system staffing and retention. As a Sr Consultant, you will function with a high level of integrity, independence and participate in policy, service, and/or program development.
HR Sr. Consultants understand and can articulate the relationship between HR programs and activities, in addition to the organization's successful mission accomplishment. Work involves developing and maintaining productive collaborative work relationships and assessing and responding to apparent and underlying client needs. Sr. Consultants interpret policies and practices in context of the client's needs and in alignment with the organization's best interests and advise clients regarding decisions that are impacted by laws, policies, procedures, and research. In turn, these individuals will facilitate, negotiate, develop and document innovative solutions to human resources issues tailored to the requirements of the client and the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with high-volume and quick-turnaround position management, recruitment and selection efforts.
• Work hands-on to help ensure our HR Consultants succeed through performance management coaching and career development
• Serve as a valued business partner to the operational leadership team and set the course for success for your area of the business
• Partner with other UHR Centers of Excellence to drive business and HR initiatives.
• Deploy and follow through of all HR initiatives, processes and systems.
• Influence HR practitioners on optimal workforce utilization, talent management, and performance differentiation.
• Proactively address change opportunities (people, process, structure) and create plans to address.
• Create an environment of positive relations, keep confidentiality, establish trust and credibility, seen by employees as approachable and fair, balances business needs with employee needs, and spends significant time interfacing directly with employees/client base.
• Support and properly apply institutional, system level, state and federal policies and practices.
• Identify trends, collate and distribute industry research/analysis to contribute to colleagues' understanding of the issues.
• Identify training needs in client base and identify/recommend training programs as needed and contribute to on-the-job training or development of new colleagues.

• Manages service processes and controls; identify gaps and inefficiencies, provide standardization and improvement recommendations which will impact the full employee lifecycle from hire to retire.
• Connects the dots and self-identifies opportunities to drive HR operational efficiency via process improvements or automation.
• Oversees User Testing's organizational framework structure and employee data workflows.
• Collaborates with stakeholders across Talent, Payroll, Accounting, Benefits, Compensation, Legal and IT to identify opportunities for improvement in preparation for growth, across policies, process, vendors, technology staff and on various ad hoc projects in the HR Operations/Compliance space.
• Builds upon existing documentation and internal enablement to support cross-training and a solid internal knowledge base.

• Serves as liaison to internal stakeholders and maintains service level agreements.
• Resolves escalations regarding HR policies and regulations.
