Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
The Admissions Professional is responsible for educating UGA current and prospective students, their families, and alumni on degree programs, admission requirements, financial opportunities, and/or other student services offered at UGA . Responsibilities may include responding to student, family, or alumni inquiries through multiple mediums, advising students or alumni on career or internship opportunities, providing guidance on admission requirements or financial aid, and maintaining accurate and complete student records. The person will work closely with Community Based Organizations (CBO's) in assisting their students in the college planning process. The person will be based within the greater Atlanta or Athens area in order to perform their duties.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
• Considerable knowledge of admissions policies and procedures.
• Considerable knowledge of recruitment and marketing strategies for prospective college students, parents, and CBO representatives.
• Demonstrated ability to establish community partnerships.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic collaborations with various constituencies.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of people.
• Ability to communicate ideas effectively in writing and orally before large groups.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, assemble, and organize data and prepare reports.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends. Overnight travel.

• Develop and manage a comprehensive strategy of engagement with educational and community leaders across the state of Georgia.
• Facilitate and promote campus relationships with stakeholders in communities.
• Engagement opportunities to support Admissions and OID include but are not limited to Road Dawgs (Home, High School and CBO editions), New Student sessions, CBO Saturdays, Welcome UGA , etc.

• Build partnerships across the state that will expand the academic brand of UGA , and is responsible for the development of Community Based Organization ( CBO ) relationships.
