Job Description

Delta Contracting is looking for an Asphalt Milling Foreperson to Join the team. Are you skilled in coordinating projects and leading teams? We're looking for a versatile individual to fill the role of Foreperson!
• Please note this role is based out of Haw River - NC. Role is heavily travel based, but must come to office for training**

Responsibilities :
• Build strong relationships with various team members and managers.
• Organize and participate in project review and planning meetings.
• Oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are completed accurately and on time.
• Engage with customers from project start to finish, addressing their needs and accommodating reasonable changes.
• Efficiently plan and organize workflow, making sure resources are used effectively.
• Operate milling equipment to achieve project specifications.
• Use hand levers to control milling machine movements on various surfaces.
• Communicate clearly with crew members using radios, hand signals, and other forms of communication.
• Direct the work activities of team members to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective project completion.
• Foster a positive work environment, resolving conflicts and communicating personnel matters to management.
• Maintain accurate records related to timesheets, work orders, and customer tickets.
• Ensure team compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Safely operate mechanical equipment and perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs as needed.
• Fabricate parts using hand tools and specifications.
• Provide job-related and safety training to team members and conduct safety toolbox meetings.
• Address safety violations, participate in incident investigations, and manage workers' compensation claims.
• Be available for overtime, night shifts, weekend work, and travel, including overnight stays.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Undertake special projects as required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Experience operating milling equipment required.
• Ability to manipulate hand levers and control movements of machinery.
• Must have the ability to travel for overnight work for extended periods
• Physical capability to climb onto and off the milling machine as needed.
• Basic understanding of machinery maintenance procedures.
• Strong attention to safety protocols and procedures.
