Preferred Qualifications: Facilities experience in higher education. Experience troubleshooting A/V equipment.
Position Summary: This position is responsible for providing facilities-related support for UGA and non-UGA educational activities and events (academic, continuing education, community and corporate). The position is responsible for upkeep, cleanliness, and facility preparedness for academic and non-academic classes and events on the Gwinnett Campus.
This position works a schedule of Monday, Wedesday, Thursday: 7:00AM–4:00PM, Friday 10AM–7PM, and Saturday 7:30AM–4:30PM. Tuesdays and Sundays off. Flexible hours may include nights if needed. Supports maintenance of UGA space and provides physical set-up and arrangements for event needs. This person also supports safety and security protocols on the Gwinnett Campus. This person is expected to provide first-responder support in the event of facilities-related emergencies.
This position provides general classroom support to faculty and staff and works collaboratively with other staff at the Gwinnett Campus. Consistently high levels of customer service skills are essential to this role. This position reports to the Assistant Director of the Gwinnett Campus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies: • Knowledge of facilities management and maintenance.
• Windows/ MAC OS and applications, MS Office Suite, Print Management and knowledge of mobile devices.
• Technical and AV support experience
• Good communication and customer service skills and professional appearance and attitude.
Physical Demands: • Ability to move furniture and equipment up to 70 pounds shoulder height.

Duties/Responsibilities: • Coordinates and participates in preventive maintenance and repairs of UGA space, including floors, walls, ceilings, doors, windows, locks, fixtures, and furniture.
• Coordinates and participates in the servicing, cleaning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems, electrical fixtures, and other equipment.
• Inspects grounds, rooms, restrooms, and equipment, noting need for cleaning, repairs and replacements, and reports same to the Assistant Director.

Duties/Responsibilities: • Participates in the setting and arrangement of rooms for academic classes, trainings, meetings, and other special student and faculty functions.
• Conducts a daily preventive maintenance program to ensure the space is always clean and well-maintained for students and visitors.
• Cross-trains staff as requested; maintains adequate levels of janitorial and maintenance supplies; keeps records and prepares reports for benchmarks and tracking purposes.

Duties/Responsibilities: • When needed, assists end-users in the use of classroom AV/VTC technology incorporated into the multimedia symposiums.
• Provide basic AV troubleshooting for connection of peripherals to classroom systems, e.g. laptops, doccam, usb storage, etc.

Duties/Responsibilities: • Develops, maintains, and disseminate campus safety and security procedures.
• Arranges for annual training of the safety wardens for the campus, and ensures the campus remains up to date with UGA-required safety procedures.
