JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Tool & Die Maker** **in Williamston, SC. Our client is a metal manufacturing facility. The Tool & Die Maker is responsible for the following.
**Responsibilities of a Tool & Die Maker includes:
**-Demonstrated understanding of cutting clearances, die timing, forming, ready benders, aerial and filler cams.
-Troubleshoot progressive stamping dies.
-Perform maintenance and repairs on progressive dies.
-Operate manual and automatic tool room equipment.
-Ability to work with American SAE and Metric
-Follows all company safety policies.
-Sets up and operates shop equipment including lathes and grinder to machine parts; verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications.
-Correctly troubleshoot, disassemble, repair and reassemble progressive stamping dies.
-Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances.
-Willingness to work in a team environment.
-Able to work overtime as drive by the workload
Job Requirements of a Tool & Die Maker:
High school education is required.
5+ years of tool and die repair in metal stamping or related technical experience.
Experience with progressive dies.
Accredited journeyman's tool maker certificate preferred, but not required.
Must possess basic measuring tools, hand tools, and toolbox.
Ability to operate and follow manuals/procedures, work with little to no supervision.
Ability to lift/move up to 35 pounds.
Forklift & Overhead Crane experience required.
