Join us and we can make a difference together.This position supervises a team of support and/or production level or hourly/direct employees in Manufacturing Operations. Sets day-to-day activities and assists in managing and monitoring production operations, maintenance, plant engineering, scheduling and personnel.Key Responsibilities:Effectively lead a materials department that is focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery and CostYou should have a safety 1st mindset and lead by example ensuring all safety guidelines are followed consistentlyDevelop and support a 5s mindset in all plant areas. Extraordinary housekeeping is expected at all timesDevelop an environment that champions high employee morale promoting fair and equal treatment focused on resultsConduct employee performance reviews providing effective and constructive unbiased feedbackEnsure goals are met or exceededAbility to recognize and resolve when gaps exists throughout the dayParticipating in continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing or problem solving techniques such as Kaizens, Value Stream Maps, 5-Why’s, 8D’s, and Standard Work.Ensure environmental compliance and policies are adhered tooPlan daily activities including work force requirements handling vacations, schedule/ unscheduled absenteeism and over-time within budget and company policiesLead associate skills matrices to effectively staff an efficient operation that promotes quality. Build and perform training requirements as neededOther duties and responsibilities as assignedRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of experience in a supervision role in warehouse and/or logisticsORHigh School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of experience in a supervision role in warehouse and/or logisticsPreferred Qualifications:Be able to drive multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and can work independently without detailed directionProven patience, tact and diplomacyMotivated and willing to accept new challengesStrong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skillsLearns new tasks quickly and identifies improvement opportunitiesAbility to interact with various departments, levels of the organization, associates, customers, and managementFlexibility to work past established starting and ending timesHighly focused and results orientated in supporting complex operationsAbility to conduct all business and personal affairs in a professional and ethical mannerHigh-energy with a pleasant and professional demeanor that promotes a team atmosphere that delivers resultsProven ability to implement change in materials systemsBasic computer proficiency with email and Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
