SUMMARY: Oversee the financial operations of the company, guiding its financial strategy, planning and maintaining its financial stability. Collaborate with executive management to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies.
• Insure and maintain confidentiality of all accessed information.
• Manage the company’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and auditing. Ensure that the financial transactions, policies and procedures meet the company’s short and long-term business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations, accounting principles and standards.
• Develop and implement the financial strategy of the company. This includes long-term financial planning and forecasting, risk management and investment strategies.
• Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements. Ensure the timely reporting of key financial data and updates to President.
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions. This includes tax planning and compliance with local, state and federal tax regulations.
• Direct the Finance and accounting team and ensure their ongoing professional development and training. Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
• Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting and internal-control activities of the organization.
• Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement.
• Effectively communicate changes in priorities or completion dates due to unscheduled projects of higher priority or urgency.
• Establish, communicate and monitor personal and departmental performance and improvement goals in support of organizational objectives. Communicate results to President. Encourage and promote continuous personal development, skill attainment and optimal performance for self and others.
Minimum Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred)
• Professional accreditation (e.g., CPA, CFA)
Minimum Requirements
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar position or in public accounting
Knowledge And Skills
• Thorough working knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures on computerized systems.
• Extensive experience in senior financial managerial roles, with a proven track record of success.
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis, risk management and forecasting methods.
• Working knowledge of corporate taxation and payroll tax requirements.
• Accurate knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office and other financial management software.
• Ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex directions, instructions and other forms of written and verbal communication.
• Capable of quality assessment, trouble shooting, visualizing the finished project and incorporating improvements.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects to meet business requirements and schedule workflow to achieve optimum output.
• Demonstrates high degree of professional behavior, appearance, work ethic, attention to detail, honesty and reliability.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
