Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications include:
• At least 2 years of management experience
• Experience in greenfield application development.
• At least five years of experience in Angular development
• At least 2 years of experience on NoSQL
Position Summary
Develops and troubleshoots a variety of software applications built using a variety of technologies. Manage a team of developers that build, maintain, and troubleshoot, a variety of software applications built using a variety of technologies. These software projects affect the entire research enterprise of the University of Georgia, and without these positions creating the software referred to, it would negatively affect 371.7M worth of sponsored projects from the compliance and sponsored projects support standpoint. The skills needed for this position are unique to campus, and there are no other colleagues to draw upon on campus for this knowledge, and we need to have these skills in-house for real-time support to the very large and growing number of UGA faculty members who are PIs or Co-PIs that depend upon sponsored project support at UGA . These technologies will include JavaScript, Java, C#, Jscript, angular, Node.js with Express, SQL , NoSQL, angular framework, min.io document framework, Couchbase No- SQL database, Github, Gitflow development process, ngGrid interface, principles of solution architecture, Domain Driven Design concepts, authentication using OAuth. Management duties span the entire product life cycle from design, development, testing to issue tracking and resolution. .More specifically, this position is responsible for managing all aspects of compliance-related and sponsored projects related software, including the critical real-time integrations with campus accounting systems. As such, this is a highly demanding position comprising significant responsibilities.

• Architect or assist in architecting software deliverables for a variety of purposes.
• Work with vendors and/or external consultants on software design and functional requirements.
• Architectural designs must incorporate all functional requirements, security, comprehensive REST or graphQL webservice endpoints, comprehensive error handling, full activity monitoring, logging, unit tests, and auditing, while being easy to manage.

• Translate application design documents to development tasks, ensure tasks are properly documented to communicate to the developer the requirements of the desired deliverable.
• Work with developers on a daily basis to ensure they are following best practices, incorporating testing during their development, properly documenting their work, and completing code reviews in a timely manner.

• Devise remediation and improvements to meet unit requirements.
• Work with accounting and other campus IT to debug and correct integration errors between systems.
