Minimum Qualifications
Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Position Summary
The Student Affairs Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the law school's support system. They will coordinate with several Law School departments to support student affairs, student organizations, and First-Generation students at the law school. The Coordinator will report directly to the Associate Director of Student Affairs.

First Generation Student Support
• Oversee the First Start Scholars program and professional development stipends
• Support, coordinate, and direct activities and student-related programs directed at first-generation college graduates.
• Serve as the advisor to the first-generation student organization.
• Actively encourage and recruit students to participate in first-generation programming.
• Coordinate, as needed, internal support services such as tutoring, note-taking, and working to connect students to resources

Student Organizations
• Assist registered student organizations in submitting fiscal year budget proposals; co-chair the budget committee, which establishes and manages student organizations' year budgets; complete student organization reimbursement forms and work with the Campus Business Office to comply with the University's fiscal policies and regulations.
• Coordinate with the Engagement, Leadership, and Service Office to ensure that Law School student organizations complete the annual university registration processes.
• Manage the student organization training program (online course and series of in-person trainings centered on event planning, leadership, collaboration, and community building activities)
• Assist student organizations with setting goals and direction for the academic year.
• Assist with supporting the setup and execution of student organization events, providing room reservation, supplies, event signage, and guest speaker support.
• Maintain accurate records of all student organization activities and membership (event proposals, officer and roster contacts, and program agreements)
• Assist with updating the Student Organization Handbook and maintain the student organization webpages on the Law school website.
• Assist student organizations with the annual leadership election process, including the new leadership transition.
• Promote, organize, and coordinate the annual Student Involvement Fair.
• Assist with ensuring accurate student organization information about events is disseminated to student services departments, Office of Communications team, etc.
• Organize and stock student organization supply closets and complete supply requests from student organizations.
• Update and monitor the student engagement bulletin boards.
• Collect mail and disperse to student organization mailboxes.

Student Affairs
In coordination with the Associate Director of Student Affairs:
• Assist with planning and execution of student orientations.
• Assist with the implementation of well-being initiatives, such as well-being week events and programming for the law school community.
• Assist with exam proctoring for ADA -accommodated students and make-up exams.
• Assist with large-scale student affairs events, including Welcome Week, Mentor/Mentee Mixers, Finals Programming, etc.
• Assist with locker coordination (assignments, clean out, and miscellaneous issues)
• Assist with the maintenance of the law school student commons area.
• Liaise with other law school departments to support student services programming in admissions, the career development office, and advancement offices at the law school; this includes assisting with law school graduation/commencement activities and prospective student events.
• Participate in law school committees when needed.
• Other duties and projects may be assigned by the Associate Director of Student Affairs.
