Employment Type:Full timeShift:Evening ShiftDescription:Sterile Processing Tech - Full-time - Evenings - 2:30p- 11p - OR - St. Mary's Hospital, GAPosition Purpose:The Sterile Processing Tech will work in the OR Department at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens GA.What you will do:The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for handling daily activities of sterilizing devices, tools, and equipment used in surgical procedures.What you will need:Education:  Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist program or Surgical Technology program. Must be able to read and write English.           Experience:  Two years experience in another Central Sterile Processing Area preferred.            Special Qualifications:  Knowledgeable in basic aseptic techniques, knowledgeable of the Sterilization process of equipment and supplies and knowledgeable of surgical instruments, equipment and supplies.
