3:00-5:00 PM ET (Richmond, Norfolk, Roanoke duty locations only).
During this event, you’ll learn about the job duties, qualification requirements, and how to write an effective federal resume. You will also receive an exclusive link to the Revenue Agent Job Opportunity Announcement (JOA) so that you can apply for expedited consideration at various entry, mid, and senior grade levels.

Duties:
As a Revenue Agent, you will use your accounting skills to plan and conduct examinations of individuals and businesses to determine Federal tax liability. These examinations are generally conducted at the taxpayer’s residence and/or place of business, where you will work with taxpayers, their representatives, certified public accountants, and tax attorneys.
Qualifications:
All Revenue Agent candidates must meet the following basic requirements to qualify for an entry-level position:
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate, or
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in accounting, or
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in another field other than accounting or a combination of education and experience that included at least 30 semester hours in accounting or 24 semester hours in accounting and 6 semester hours in a related subject.
Additionally, specialized accounting-related experience may qualify you for a higher-graded position.
