For your application to be considered for employment, please apply online at https://www.pinnaclebank.com/about/ JOB DESCRIPTION Employer Department Pinnacle Bank Mortgage Job title Mortgage Operations - Loan Processor / Closer Exemption status Non-Exempt Supervised by Mortgage Operations Manager Job Summary The Mortgage Operations - Loan Processor / Closer is responsible for the accuracy of loan packages, ensuring guidelines are met and loans are closed in compliance with State, Federal, TILA and RESPA regulations as well as applicable policy and investor requirements. The team member is responsible for being a back-up for processing loan application packages according to compliance guidelines and regulations, submitting files to underwriting, clearing issues and coordinating closings, and will support post-closing processes as needed. In addition, responsible for managing relationships with appraisal vendor management companies, insurance agents, attorneys and other related third parties to ensure the most efficient closing for the borrower. Also responsible for reviewing all closed mortgage loans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and conformance with Bank policies; keeping accurate records of status and communication on every file; refining procedures as necessary. The Mortgage Op Processor / Closer sis responsible for the accuracy of loan packages, ensuring guidelines are met and loans are closed in compliance with State, Federal, TILA and RESPA regulations as well as applicable policy and investor requirements. An operations team member should both be proficient in processing & closing Conventional, FHA, VA and USDA loans, purchases as well as refinances. An Operations colleague should be able to manage a pipeline up to 30 – 40 loans. The employee will support the bank's strategic goals, vision, mission, core values, service standards and service philosophy in actions, words and deeds. Skills, Knowledge, Talents Education High School diploma Prior Experience Prior banking and loan experience needed; 5-8 years mortgage loan processing & closing experience required. Required Skills & Talent Must have a basic knowledge of the bank's products and services. Must have a willingness to serve. Must be able to function efficiently in a network environment and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint. Must be able to function efficiently on a general business level of math, possess general accounting knowledge (i.e. debits, credits, and an understanding of the bank's account reconciliations). Project a professional image by adhering to guidelines in the employee handbook. Must be able to collect, research, and analyze information skillfully. Must be a self-starter, a creative thinker, flexible, eager, nurturing, open to change and exhibit good judgment. Must be a leader by example, attentive to detail, work well with others and responsive to supervisory guidance. Must be able to identify and interpret trends in financial data. Must have a working knowledge of compliance guidelines for the bank and the industry. Banking and Finance skills, knowledge and talents; Must know loan documentation necessary for position responsibilities. Must be able to read credit reports and other tools necessary to accomplish position responsibilities Must have knowledge of the following lending regulations: Fair Debt Collections Act Regulation B: Equal Credit Opportunity Act Regulation C: Home Mortgage Disclosure Regulation Z: Truth in Lending HMDA RESPA: Real Estate Settlement Procedures Bank Secrecy Must have a working knowledge of compliance guidelines for the bank and the industry Broad, general knowledge of investment and insurance products Must understand loan and commitment letters. Must understand the appropriate loan documentation as related to all loan purpose types: FHA State Housing Other as required to meet departmental needs Must be proficient in processing & closing Conventional, FHA, VA and USDA loans, purchases as well as refinances.
