Quality Control Technician needed in New Ulm, MN DSM-Firmenich. Come join the team and perfect/expand your analytical skills. Our QC techs are trained to perform all needed testing and empowered with data review and release decision responsibilities. Your key responsibilities Analyze raw material, in-process, and finished product samples according to established SOP's including GC and GCMS. Retrieval, use and filing of valid Quality Control retains as references. Participate in, and lead daily Flavor sensory evaluation panels per established SOP's Prepare micro samples for shipment per established SOP's for 3rd party testing. Follows all Lab and Site safety and GMP rules. Maintains work area in a neat and organized manner and completes all paperwork correctly. Further educate oneself through courses, seminars, trade journals, and conversation with more experienced technical personnel. You bring Bachelor's degree required preferably within the following disciplines (Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Food Science, Food Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry). Excellent verbal and written communications skills Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel and standard MS office software. LIMS and/or SAP experience preferred. Experience with the following standard chemical procedures and physical measurements (wet chemistry): GC, GCMS, HPLC, aldehyde, pH, acid value, peroxide value, water content, specific gravity, refractive index, optical rotation, color and/or other standard tests. Sensory panel experience (taste and odor) preferred.
