POSITION TO BE FILLED: Eagle View RV Resort Manager DEPARTMENT: Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation Enterprises (FMYNE) Administration REPORTS TO: Chief Business Officer SALARY: DOE POSITION DESCRIPTION: Responsible for professional and administrative work that includes planning, directing, and overseeing operational activities for Fort McDowell Eagle View RV Resort. The work involves the independent and regular exercise of discretion and judgment regarding all facets of the Fort McDowell Eagle View RV Resort enterprise operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Essential functions may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. This list of tasks is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class: Ability to assess capital needs for RV Resort, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Ability to develop policies and procedures. Ability to handle stressful situations with both customers and employees. Creates and maintains a positive image of the property while building sales and improving profitability. Directs all aspects of the Eagle View RV Resort Operations Ensures maximum profitability while adhering to all laws, regulations, and procedures and following the controls and regulations set forth by Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation Evaluate and implement programs to ensure the maintenance of the resort. Hires, trains, and schedules staff Oversee expenditures and maintain operational budget. Oversee all marketing and promotions. Prepare and execute the annual budget and business plan. Works with other enterprise managers and departments to promote FMYN Enterprise branding. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED: Current Arizona Driver’s License and able to meet Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation insurance standards. Able to manage staff to ensure an overall effective and profitable operation. Able to work long hours, holidays, nights, and weekends as required. Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff and patrons. Excellent analytical, budgetary, managerial, and administrative skills Excellent knowledge of RV Campground operations Excellent written and oral communication; computer proficient Experience with customer service and managing others. Knowledge of daily deposits, closing reports, balance transactions, and interface with Enterprise Accounting Knowledge of various computer programs, including Excel and Outlook, and basic abilities to learn industry-specific programs. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift 40 pounds. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and extensive background check. Must be able to develop and implement a succession plan designed to coach, train, and mentor FMYN Tribal Members. Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and sales experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: Associate degree in Business Management or a related field and/or at least four (4) years of management experience in a closely related field. INDIAN PREFERENCE: Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Indian Tribes.
