The pay range is $89,700.00 - $161,500.00

A role within the Growth System team means helping Target build beyond the core and creating future focus for the organization. You will be part of a team developing and deploying a new operating system for Target, creating tools, process, and governance to systematically identify, explore, and decide on new opportunities in service of the Chief Growth Officer and other executive leaders. You will help establish a growth mindset within the organization, partnering with peers and senior leaders to clarify what opportunities Target should explore and why. Whether supporting our executive governance forum the Growth Board, building evaluation and comparison tools, or establishing processes with key partners, you will ensure success by applying your expertise imagining boldly, communicating effectively, and thinking critically to navigate ambiguity.
As Growth System Lead, you play an integral role in operationalizing the Growth Board and empowering project teams to work effectively.

• Run a reliable, nimble, and sustainable operating cadence across the Growth Board in partnership with the Growth System Director
- Coordinate strategic meetings, documentation and deliverables
- Build and iterate the process and approach to drive aligned decision making from the Growth Board
- Create clear expectations to support efficient project management for the project teams
• Responsible for maintaining, implementing, and improving tools, process and governance of the Growth System
- Drive and refine processes for assessment and evolution of Growth System collateral
- Partner with project teams to ensure work leverages Growth System tools and methodologies
- Lead ad-hoc special projects and manage critical issues to ensure attention, focus, and action from the Growth leadership team
- Maintain consistent tools and “library” of information for teams to stay informed
- Leverage internal and external expertise on shifting market dynamics and consumer trends to support the organization’s future focus
• Engage directly with key internal and external stakeholders, representing the team in a clear and compelling way and providing clarity that drives effective mobilization
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, highly interactive environment interfacing between Leadership Team, Senior Executives, ISG (Insights, Strategy, and Growth) peers and the organization, promoting a growth mindset and supporting change management
About You:
• 4-year or advanced degree preferred
• 6+ years of strategic experience including assessing business strategies, leading advanced analysis and problem solving, developing multi-year business strategies and/or working in corporate innovation, agency, or entrepreneurial environment helping launch new products, services, experiences or businesses
• Demonstrated ability building strong relationships and instilling trust and confidence with partners
• Strong critical thinking and complex problem solving skills; adept at analyzing, interpreting, and synthesizing information and leveraging thought leadership to create solutions
• Effective at communicating clearly and succinctly to audiences across levels, including building compelling business cases and designing and facilitating key enrollment moments with senior leaders
• Proficient at managing and executing to project timelines
• Willing to challenge the status quo and consider what if, effective at driving change
• Proven ability to be resilient and adaptable, effective at working independently and as a team player
• Forward-focused thinker with innate curiosity and desire to learn, strong inclination to drive for results
• Desire to contribute to a team culture of bold strategic thinking and Target’s values of Inclusivity, Connection and Drive
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
