Job Description
Job Summary:
onsemi is seeking a Capacity Planner for SiC (Silicon Carbide) who will be responsible for managing internal and external Fab materials, planning the right wafer starts and BE requirements to support customer demand.
• This role requires coordination with procurement to align our Substrate & EPI suppliers to our demands while also managing the right inventory levels.
• You will partner with FE and BE manufacturing teams and Integrated Planning team to determine weekly loadings based on supply and manage your site’s inventory according to corporate targets.
• You will work across the organization with multiple departments to improve processes and provide insight to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
• Translate Front End starts requirements to Polished Wafer & Epi Wafer sourcing requirements.
• Meet the Fab starts plan week over week, negotiating with Front End & Business Unit planners to shuffle starts if material is not available.
• Act as the primary contact between Site planning and Sub & EPI planning departments.
• Maintain Weeks of Inventory (WOI) per part and by site according to corporate targets
• Forecast Inventory on a Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly basis using multiple forecasts to interpret demand.
• Follow corporate reserve and scrapping guidelines, proactively identifying materials that are at risk of being reserved & work with site planning to scrap inventory.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Business Units and others to delivery best in class service.
• Analyze loading plan by comparing near term wafer starts loading compared to BU forecast and provide guidance where capacity is underutilized.

• Work with site planners and Procurement to ensure raw materials sufficiency to support revenue targets. Spearhead weekly material review cadence to communicate key gaps to Senior Leaders. Collaborate cross functionally to reduce risk by multi sourcing single sourced raw materials and monitor qualification status.
• Ensure demand mix changes are supply vetted and communicated to all stakeholders.
• Identify, diagnose, and execute on opportunities to improve end to end Supply Chain.
• Review the billing and backlog data week over week and provide an analysis of actions to be driven to close the revenue target weekly.
• Determine planning strategies (Build to Forecast (BTF)/ Build to Target (BTT)/ Build to Order(BTO)) to ensure a healthy die bank inventory.
• Spearhead process improvement projects to help increase business/ planning efficiency.
• Collaborate with teams cross functionally to ensure smooth New Product to High Volume transition.
Qualifications
Requirements:
• BS/MS degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Engineering.
• Minimum 4+ years’ experience in semiconductor supply chain planning or related field ore equivalent with education experience.
• Familiar with manufacturing operations and environment.
• Candidate is expected to have strong team skills and ability to be effective in a wide range of settings:
• Strong team contributor able to work with moderate guidance
• Receptive to peer mentoring and coaching
• Able to communicate the essence of the problem to senior management in focused, business-relevant language
• Advanced Excel, & Microsoft Suite skills
Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
• Semiconductor industry experience.
• Experience with Blue Yonder.
