Description
The Urgent Care Department at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, MN is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The NP PA works independently and in collaboration with Physicians and other health care professionals providing care to patients in the Urgent Care setting.  Provides competent medical care to patients within the Physician Assistant/Physician relationship or the Nurse Practitioner scope of practice.  Exercises autonomy in medical decision making and provides a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services through a collegial and cooperative team approach.  The physician assistant or nurse practitioner functions as an interdisciplinary team member in the delivery of high quality and cost effective care.  This provider will have a primary location of Mankato with the expectation to regularly cover shifts at the urgent care location in New Prague, MN.

Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota/ RN and APRN license and certification as:Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP)Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certification (ENP)
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota/ State Board of Medical Practice. 
Registration with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) is required. BLS is required.
