JOB TITLE: Human Resources Generalist II DEPARTMENT: Human Resources ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance, and offboarding processes Develop and implement human capital management strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent Utilize HRIS systems such as Cornerstone and UKG to manage employee data and streamline HR processes Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law Process requests for verifications of employment, background checks, and pre-employment drug screens Assist with open enrollment as well as monthly enrollment for employee benefits, changes, billing reconciliation, and employee communications Assist with workman’s compensation reporting and claim management Process payroll including 401k deferral elections, wage changes, PTO updates, insurance owed, timecard reviewal, time prep, expense reports, post payroll procedures, FICA amendments, quarter end/year end processing, fringe benefits, etc. All other duties as assigned by your supervisor/manager QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Strong knowledge of human resources principles and best practices Multi-state payroll processing and tax reporting Proficiency in using HRIS and payroll systems such as Cornerstone and UKG Experience in talent management Familiarity with social media platforms for employer handling purposes surrounding recruiting talent Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting Must be able to sit and work behind a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day Must be able to read, write, communicate, and comprehend the English language Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and criminal background check Must be able to meet all physical requirements as outlined in this position description EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required 3+ years of human resource generalist experience required 3+ years of payroll experience required Multi-state payroll experience required Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid jury duty Paid time off Referral program Retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Overtime Education: Bachelor's (Required) Experience: Human resources: 3 years (Required) Payroll: 3 years (Required) Language: English (Required) Ability to Relocate: Mankato, MN 56001: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
