As the Maintenance Supervisor, we seek an experienced professional who can take the initiative and lead this department. In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of maintaining our equipment, buildings, and grounds in working order. Day-to-day, you will supervise maintenance staff, plan, and assign tasks, track work orders, procure parts/supplies, enforce safety/compliance, and ensure completion of preventive maintenance. You will also roll up your sleeves up to 50% of the time to tackle repairs and projects on the floor. Your leadership, technical skills, and willingness to get your hands dirty will keep our facilities humming along smoothly and prevent costly equipment failures or safety hazards. This position requires someone who is a strong leader, adept multi-tasker, and experienced maintenance professional. We seek someone who takes initiative and has the skills and work ethic to excel as our Maintenance Supervisor. This position is a full-time, hourly position, Monday through Friday, 6:00 am – 3:00 pm located in Courtland, MN. This is a safety sensitive position. Primary Responsibilities Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment breakdowns and maximize operational efficiency. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance issues and recommend solutions. Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion of work orders and projects around the production schedules. Maintain inventory levels of spare parts and equipment, ensuring availability when needed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among maintenance staff. Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations. Supervising and providing guidance, training, and support as needed to others within the department. Maintain a clean and organized department. Additional Responsibilities 1. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes. 2. Projects involving equipment setup, parts procurement, etc. 3. Equipment Calibration 4. Arrange deliveries as needed, handle driver and vehicle licensing. 5. Other duties as assigned. Requirements 1. Two to four years of post-secondary education or experience in a similar role. Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Prior maintenance, mechanical, electrical, basic welding experience preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude required in the following areas: building maintenance, hydraulics, small machines and engines, vehicles. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a strong attention to detail. Ability to learn new machinery quickly. Proficient computer skills, using windows and Microsoft Office (Word, excel) Understanding of basic budgeting. Excellent leadership abilities to effectively communicate, motivate and manage. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in an efficient manner. 8. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, with a commitment to creating and maintaining a safe work environment. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. We are seeking an individual with post-secondary education or experience in maintenance. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and handle heights of 35’. Must be able to lift (50) pounds comfortably, wear a respirator when needed, and pass a physical exam, respirator test and a drug & alcohol test. Wage is based off of experience.
