Overview: Gates Corporation, formerly Atlas Hydraulics/Pace Manufacturing, is growing in Greenville, SC and we are hiring for Assemblers in our Hose Shop for our 1st shift (6:30 am - 2:30 pm) This position is part of the production team, reporting directly to the shift supervisor and/or team leader. Assemblers operate equipment to couple and form various sizes and product lines of hydraulic hose assemblies. Job duties include performing assembly tasks utilizing a variety tools and machines, working in a team supporting the safety, productivity, and delivery of high-quality products. ABOUT YOU High school diploma or GED with 10 years general, 6 years specific experience or 2 years college with 6 years specific experience. REQUIRED SKILLS: Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office. Ability to plan and organize work schedules. Ability to communicate well with all associates and management. Ability to coach, lead and facilitate teams in a GEM environment. Ability to drive accountability, resolve conflict, and manage performance expectations. Ability to apply situational leadership techniques in a changing team environment. Ability to resolve problems and troubleshoot. Strong organizational and planning skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Ability to anticipate the needs of internal and external customers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work any shift. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
