Graphic Design Intern

$19/hr, 15-20 hrs/week
12 weeks, begins May 28 | Hybrid-Remote
OVERVIEW:
Are you a current or recently graduated student looking to get corporate marketing experience generating website designs, print media, and ad creative? This internship with Fresh Water Systems, an ECommerce brand specializing in the distribution of water filtration components D2C and B2B. You'll have the opportunity to lead projects in brand identity, packaging design, advertising, digital merchandizing, and more. Working closely with our marketing team, you'll have the opportunity to grow in your understanding of digital marketing while being coached through projects guaranteed to grow your portfolio and prepare you for the competitive creative job market.
DETAILS:
Applicants should submit a resume, CV, and portfolio of relevant work. This internship has a flexible schedule but will require 2 days face-to-face in office or coworking with your direct reports/team, so applicants in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC OR Greenville, SC areas will be given preference.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate from a degree program in graphic design or advertising with an art minor/comajor
• Experience with fundamental graphic design principles (Emphasis, Balance/Alignment, Contrast, Repetition, Proportion, Movement, and Whitespace)
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite required
• Experience with Figma preferred
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of HTML/email design a plus
• UI design/experience a plus
• Familiarity with/experience with marketing/advertising a plus
