Requirements
• Interns will be evaluated by United’s employment standards and the educational institution’s guidelines
• A signed confidentiality agreement must be completed prior to beginning the program
• Interns will be held to the same ethical standards as United Community Bank employees
JOB FUNCTIONS – Internship Track: Banking & Finance
• The internship is based on a 8-week summer term
• Rotations include:
• Weeks 1-5in Community Banking to include a retail banking office
• Treasury, Financial Planning/Management Reporting, Investor Relations/Corporate Development
• Accounting area located in Blairsville, GA (some travel may be required)
• Week 5 in Commercial Banking Solutions
• Middle Market, Commercial Real Estate, ABL
• Weeks 6 in Consumer and Small Business Credit Risk
• Week 7 focused on business development
• Includes a “Day in the Life of an Executive,” marketing/PR firm shadowing, business development calls with a banker
• Week 8 flex week for department of choice relevant to the area of study
• A “Day in the Life of an Executive” is an opportunity for an intern to shadow an executive of the bank
• Interns may be included in various bank meetings relevant to the course of study and timeline:
• Annual Shareholder Meeting
• Various leadership meetings
• Local Bank Board meetings
• Department-specific meetings within credit, legal, operations, etc.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position does not manage employees
