Cut to Length Assistant
Job Summary
The Assistant Operator is responsible for supporting processing line and/or machine operations under the direction of an operator, senior operator, lead or supervisor. This position specifically performs duties related to setting up the line and/or machine and is the junior operator on the line. This position reports to the Operations Manager.
Job Responsibilities
• Assists operator(s) in line/machine setup and production
• Loads product onto line/machine according to safety and quality standards
• Notifies operator of non-conformances seen while processing
• Assists with set-up creation
• Assists in packaging area as needed
• Supports and/or trains on other lines/machines to support business needs
• Uses computer system to facilitate production
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• High School diploma or GED
• Experience using computers for work and/or school
• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 pounds
• High School diploma or GED
• Prior experience in an industrial warehouse environment preferred
• Skilled with the use of basic measurement tools such as a tape measure
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to follow safety and operations processes and procedures
• Dependability
• Willingness to learn and train others
