Job Duties:
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the status of all assigned Immunization Team policies, procedures and activities to be able to assist and work independently on duties assigned.
• Creates and maintains regional guidance documents and reports for the Immunization Team and Regional Immunization Program.
• Plan, coordinate and conducts reminder/recall activities on specific health department clients as assigned
• Assists in the planning coordination and application of Immunization Team activities.
• School and Day Care Immunization Law Compliance Visits: evaluation of immunization certificates in school and day care settings and with completion of all required documents.
• Assist Immunization team with the yearly 45-Day School Report Requirements and processes
• Assist with Provider Compliance Visits: (VFC and VFC/AFIX).
• Assist Immunization team with the Annual Immunization Certificate Training and all processes related to the training to include providing training to staff members
• Assist School Located Vaccination Program Coordinator with training, planning and coordinating with the School Located Vaccination Clinics (SLVC). Updates and maintains reports and training documents related to SLVC
• Assist Immunization Compliance Nurse with monitoring of Perinatal Hepatitis B Case Management activities
• Other duties as assigned Minimum and Additional Requirements State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

This position is part of the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control’s (Division/Bureau). The work performed supports DHEC’s mission to improve the quality of life for all South Carolinians by protecting and promoting the health of the public and the environment. Effective July 1, 2024, this position will transfer to the South Carolina Department of Public Health created by Senate Bill 399 which provides for the creation of the Department of Public Health to assume the public health-related functions of DHEC.
