Payroll Specialist
We are offering an opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Greenville, South Carolina. This role is pivotal in the finance department and focuses on the execution and maintenance of our payroll operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing payroll functions and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all processes. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
• Contribute to the full cycle payroll process, ensuring all payroll operations are completed accurately and on time.
• Utilize accounting software systems to manage payroll data and generate reports.
• Handle local and multi-state payroll tax calculations and deductions.
• Process biweekly and monthly payroll for over 500 employees, ensuring all payments are accurate and timely.
• Manage and reconcile payroll, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding payroll and tax.
• Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll systems, such as Vantage, to ensure efficient operations.
• Collaborate with other team members to optimize payroll processes and improve efficiency.
