Quality Control Lab Supervisor
Job Description:
The Quality Control Lab Supervisor is responsible for quality control of raw materials and new design finished goods testing for product being shipped from the Cambria Processing Facility. This individual will also collaborate with relevant functions, propose and lead implementation regarding quality lab raw material specifications and inspection plans. This position supervises the Analysis, Test and Inspection Technicians and Leads in the Raw Materials Quality Lab, which includes process governing Raw Materials Specifications, Quality Control SOPs, and Work Instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee Quality Control of raw materials and supervise QA Lab Leads and Technicians
• Ensure that laboratory inspection, procedures, and equipment provide reliable results in detection and prevents the use of raw materials that do not meet specifications and quality systems requirements
• Provide leadership for continuous improvement, resulting in productivity gains from doing it right the first time
• Provide quality metrics to production, quality assurance, process control, process engineering and other departments to facilitate problem solving and process improvement
• Manage the disposition of raw materials through implementation of procedures for assuring product segregation
• Make appropriate laboratory level quality decisions and participate in regional decisions around product disposition
• Educate, mentor, and develop laboratory personnel in the daily use of quality tools
• Responsible for the auditing and approval of laboratory test methods for raw materials and new design release products
• Oversee out of specification process and make sure material is accurately dispositioned in a timely manner
• Manage maintenance and calibration processes for laboratory equipment
• Perform job duties safely as outlined in the relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality systems defined processes
• Act as a hands-on collaborator and participant in the daily performance of duties

Minimum Qualifications:
• Ability to understand and apply inspection and test protocols, use multiple purpose calibrated measuring tools and devices in lab environments
• Possess strong people management skills
• Ability to understand and apply industry standard quality systems principals, root cause analysis lean applications and structured problem solving skills
• Strong English speaking verbal and written communications skills
• Excellent computer skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or other technical discipline certification, and/or equivalent related experience such as the practical application of or formal education in statistics or statistical process control.
Experience: 3+ years in a manufacturing quality control leadership role and/or equivalent related degree

• Experience in a lab environment
• Proficiency with SPC Software

Physical Requirements:
• Visually detect imperfections in raw materials
• Use laboratory inspection and test equipment
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Push/pull 100 lbs.
• Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria
• Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises
• Work in a climate controlled and non-climate controlled environments
• Bend over multiple times throughout shift
