Customer Service Specialist (Manufacturing)- Greer, SC
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Inside Sales, the Customer Service Specialist is responsible for owning the sample order fulfillment process of manufactured goods by processing and shipping product samples to customers in the allotted timeframe. Also responsible for filling in for inside sales team members to cover for vacation, sick time, etc. ** This role supports the inside sales team for Alltrista's Greer, SC manufacturing facility.
Primary Functions
• Accountable for processing sample requests entered in the sample module in Smartsheet
• Restock and maintain the sample room inventory
• Manually assembly samples according to request
• Prepare samples for shipment
• Once tracking number is provided, update Smartsheet with order status and tracking number.
• Manually adjust inventory in Epicor once samples have been pulled
• Work with manufacturing to replenish pre-cut liners needed for the sample room
• Update field and inside sales on sample request status
• Work with the Rigid Packaging group to market the bottles and CRC caps
• Interact with customers via phone and email
• Assist operation’s manager with locating parts needed for production
• Establish and maintain “Safety and Housekeeping”. Maintains enforcement of and compliance with policy and procedures to ensure that the results conform to planned and/or desired results and to assure a safe working environment is maintained. Establish and maintain “Safety and Housekeeping” to achieve Alltrista’s vision of safety and a “dazzlingly clean” work environment
• Provide backup coverage for the inside sales team through cross training
• Review order entry transactions for accuracy
Position Specifications
• 3+ years of sales support in a manufacturing company
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Basic understanding of ERP systems & Smartsheet
• Good communication skills
• Mainly indoor office work with sedentary physical activity.
