PrideStaff Greenville is seeking an experienced part-time Warehouse Associate / Material Handler on behalf of our client in Pelzer, SC.
We are searching for a dependable & skilled Warehouse Associate / Material Handler. The Part-time Warehouse Associate / Material Handler responsibilities include a variety of routine shipping, receiving, production, and housekeeping tasks. Travel to other markets may be required for delivery/pick up of materials. Basic computer skills required. Experience within the warehousing/inventory environment preferred. Forklift experience preferred. Valid Drivers licensed required. MC/CDL a plus.
Part-time Material Handler / Wire Cutter Responsibilities :
• Pull large wired spools/materials and distribute them to their designated area
• Receive and unload incoming material and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipment
• Sort, count, package, label, and unpack inventory that is received
• Inspect shipments for damages, loss, or defects
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading material and equipment
• Stock shelves in the warehouse
• Prepare orders for shipment in accordance with the pick ticket and customer requirements
• Package and ship in accordance with packaging guidelines and accepted methods/practices
• Label and ship in accordance with packaging guidelines and accepted methods/practices
• Provide accurate reporting on receipt of materials and distribution of purchased items
• Must be able to demonstrate positive and effective verbal and written communications skills
• Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations and policies
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc. in the accomplishments of client’s goals
Part-time Material Handler / Wire Cutter Qualifications: • Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes, weighing up to 50 to 100 pounds 75% of the time
• Basic computer and mathematical skills required.
• Experience within the warehousing/inventory environment preferred.
• Must be able to climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects with variable heights
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Valid Drivers licensed required. MC/CDL a plus.
