Position Overview
As an Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable (AR/AP) Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial transactions of our EV manufacturing operations. Your responsibilities will include handling accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Process accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing customers, recording payments, and reconciling accounts.
• Manage accounts payable processes, including reviewing and processing vendor invoices, obtaining approvals, and scheduling payments.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on past due accounts receivable and accounts payable balances.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and payment discrepancies and address inquiries from customers and vendors.
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline AR/AP processes and enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
• Preferred degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred or combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with experience using systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interact professionally with customers and vendors.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
