MECHANIC/ASSEMBLER
Bridgeworks is looking for a FT Mechanic for a company in Fountain Inn, SC.
Hours : 8am to 5pm
Pay : $25-30/hour
Job Title: Mechanic/Assembler
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Mechanic/Assembler to join our team. As a Mechanic/Assembler, you will play a crucial role in assembling engines, hydraulic hoses, turning bolts, and building our machines. If you have a strong affinity for working on engines and cars in general, coupled with excellent mechanical skills and attention to detail, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
• Engine Assembly: Assemble engines according to specifications, ensuring all components are correctly installed and functioning properly.
• Hydraulic Hose Installation: Install hydraulic hoses, fittings, and other components, ensuring proper connections and leak-free operation.
• Bolt Turning: Utilize hand and power tools to turn bolts, nuts, and fasteners to specified torque values, ensuring proper tension and secure attachment.
• Machine Building: Participate in the construction and assembly of various machines, following blueprints, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
• Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality inspections of assembled components and machines to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise during assembly, utilizing problem-solving skills and technical knowledge.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly activities, including parts used, work performed, and any issues encountered.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Other: Able to weld and use lathe and milling machine, operate a forklift.
Requirements
• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills and a demonstrated ability to work with engines and machinery.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and quality workmanship.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Experience: Previous experience in engine assembly, automotive mechanics, or related fields is preferred.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications or training in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, or a related field is a plus.
• Transportation: Must have reliable transportation and BE ON TIME!
