Position Summary: The Clinician Coverage Supervisor assists in the planning, design, and implementation of programs, policies, and systems. The position is responsible for direct supervision of the Clinician Coverage Coordinators on assigned teams to include orientation, ongoing training, support, and guidance to achieve business goals and objectives. Clinician Coverage Supervisor Responsibilities: Essential Provide management and oversight of general operational functions related to provider scheduling. Manage, coach, mentor, and train scheduling staff to in include technique instruction, provider payroll audits, metrics management, and improved scheduler and clinician scheduling efficiency. Drive provider scheduling in accordance with OBHG work life balance standards and core values. Strong engagement in overseeing incentives, labor protection, premium labor usage within parameters given by the operations leadership. Report weekly APAY to team leaders and appropriate stakeholders. Work closely with OBSTAT to ensure labor needs are utilized as needed. Adherence to established clinician relationships are being established and the schedulers are managing their book of business. Proactively removes impediments and effectively solves problems that arise. Provides timely communication to the schedulers, matrix team stakeholders and cross functional departments. Support improvement initiatives in areas of technology, compliance and process. Essential Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience At minimum of 5+ years of experience in healthcare managing teams or departments Ability to work independently and to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. Ability to apply critical and strategic thinking in solving scheduling challenges. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of hospital credentialing process and clinician scheduling process Mental and Physical Demands (per ADA guidelines) Physical Demands: Sitting for long periods of time.
