Full Job Description Ophthalmic Scribe Primary Location: Greenville, SC *Must be willing to travel to our other offices as needed* Hours: Full-time Education: Minimum high school graduate or equivalent Experience: 1-year experience scribing in the medical field, ophthalmology preferred Retina Consultants of Carolina, the Upstate's premier Retina specialists for over 25 years is looking for a great candidate to join our team as an Ophthalmic Scribe. The Ophthalmic Scribe works closely with the physicians and other technicians to provide high-quality care to each patient of the practice. Duties include performing preliminary testing, obtaining chief complaint and medical history, overseeing patient flow, prepping patients for procedures, and scribing for physicians. The right candidate possesses the following skills and characteristics: Strong interpersonal skills Effective communication with patients, physicians, and co-workers Willingness to learn and master new tasks and processes Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Determined work ethic Time management skills Proficient typing and computer skills Our practice has a detailed training program that gives each new employee the tools they need to succeed as well as dedicated trainers.
