4th Trimester Arizona is a non-profit organization that exists to honor, support, and empower Arizona families during their transition to parenthood and beyond. Our Mission is to Change the Culture of Parenting so no one has to do it alone, and our Vision is that all families are embraced by their communities in their transition to parenthood. Each Village is a community-based group for parents and those who support them that holds monthly Village Gatherings. The position of Village Leader is the public face of 4thTrimester AZ to Village participants. The Program Coordinator will work to ensure high levels of program participation and support, contributing to the overall mission of embracing all families as they transition into parenthood. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in overseeing our Spanish-speaking Village and CIPIMPROVE Project responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit administration, exceptional communication skills, a commitment to improving maternal and child health in our community, and experience working with diverse communities. This is a part-time position and, on average, requires 10 hours per week. Responsibilities: Host monthly group meetings (Village Gatherings) for new parents with compassion and empathy Create a judgment-free safe space for participants while building rapport and connection within the community Determine appropriate topics and qualified presenters for each monthly Gathering Coordinate and communicate with presenters before, during and after monthly Gatherings Communicate with Social Media Team about the topics and speakers planned for upcoming Gatherings Attend 4Trimester Team meetings twice a month to update the team on Village needs, topics, plans and issues. Schedule monthly Village Gatherings Convene CIPIMPROVE Project Listening Sessions in the Community Report results of Listening Sessions with the community Attend and advise on CIPIMPROVE steering committee meetings Co-author publications Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Bilingual: Fluency in reading and writing in both Spanish and English Dependability — Reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfills obligations Integrity — Honest and ethical Communication – Active listener who is capable of serving as the master of ceremonies/group leader, introducing speakers, and making group attendees comfortable. Must be a written communicator as well, to compose well thought out emails and group meeting descriptions.
