This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced paralegal to play a crucial role in providing exceptional legal support to our attorneys and clients. As a Criminal Appellate Paralegal, you will: Assist attorneys in preparing motions to set aside, petitions for sealing records, and other post-conviction relief documents. Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support post-conviction relief efforts. Maintain organized and accurate case files, ensuring all deadlines are met. Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing their concerns. Collaborate with attorneys and other legal professionals to develop effective strategies. Demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Exhibit a commitment to providing exceptional client service and supporting the firm's mission. The ideal candidate will possess: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in criminal law or appellate work Familiarity with Arizona criminal law and post-conviction relief procedures Strong research, writing, and organizational skills Proficiency in legal research databases and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A proactive, self-starting attitude and the ability to work independently. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. An associate degree or higher in paralegal studies or a related field is a plus.
