Job Description The Quality Specialist supports the Quality Assurance department in its management and improvement of the company’s Quality Management System and verification of product conformance to requirements. Essential Job Functions Collect QRB documentation and coordinate with Quality Engineer to initiate the required steps to research and resolve reported non-conformances. Conduct process validation audits in coordination with the Quality Engineer as part of QRB resolution process. Administer company-wide document management system and related procedures, including capture, storage, retrieval, sharing, and destruction of company records and documents in accordance with industry standards. Coordinate with Product Engineering, QA Technicians, and external customers to create test reports from engineering test specifications in appropriate Word and Excel formats. Manage the facilities calibration program to ensure all tools and equipment controlled in the program remain current and in acceptable condition. This includes performing scheduled calibration on related tooling and equipment and interfacing with 3rd party calibration service labs as required. Assist with conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with company certifications and coordinate resolution of breakdowns in the Quality Management System with the Quality Manager. Participate in continuous improvement activities (manager reviews & communication, etc.), to include QMS Internal Audit Program. Requirements Please note: This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR), as such, applicants must be a U.S. person defined as a citizen, national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee. HS Diploma or equivalent required. 3-4 years’ experience in production quality field or equivalent combination of education & experience. ISO/ISO Auditor certification preferred. ASQ certification preferred. Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 standards preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word & Excel Work Environment/Physical Demands: The work environment and physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
