Candidate Engagement Specialist (Contract)

Discount Tire, America’s #1 independent tire and wheel retailer, is renowned for celebrating the spirit of its people with extraordinary pride and enthusiasm. As we continue to expand our operations, we're seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Candidate Engagement Specialist.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct a high volume of outbound calls to engage applicants from our ATS, providing them with a warm introduction to our company, an overview of the hiring process, and next steps.
• Design and implement innovative strategies to enhance the candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, focusing on effective communication, personalized interactions, and streamlined procedures to ensure a positive and memorable journey for every candidate.
• Perform initial screening of applicants to assess their suitability for Discount Tire. Schedule qualified candidates for further interviews with store managers and/or regional recruiters.
• Work closely with regional recruiters and store operations teams to gain a deep understanding of staffing needs, job requirements, and other dependencies. Ensure alignment in recruiting efforts and candidate selection.
• Diligently update and maintain applicant records in the ATS (iCIMS), ensuring accurate tracking of interactions, feedback, and interview outcomes.
• Collect and relay feedback from candidates to recruiters and hiring managers, aiming to continuously improve the recruitment process and candidate experience.
• Stay informed of market trends and operational requirements that may affect staffing needs. Provide insights to the recruitment team to aid in strategy development.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a customer service, sales, or recruitment role, with a strong preference for experience in high-volume phone-based interactions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, respect, and gratitude towards others.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a changing environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a flexible approach to adapt to changing organizational needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively, influence decisions, collaborate, build rapport, and develop business relations with store managers, support personnel, and executive staff.
• Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (iCIMS preferred), Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and candidate communication/outreach.
