Description:
The ideal candidate should be committed to a minimum of a year with the potential of an extension, depending on performance. The immediate business need is for an average workweek of 40 hours, with weekend hours based on the department’s needs. The candidate should be familiar with mass communications, telecommunications, audio visual, special events, or other related fields.
Job Responsibilities:
• Support technical strategists throughout the technical design of an event including equipment setup and operation, lighting placement, and video camera operation
• Assist with event set-up and tear-down, including packing equipment
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities, and following written or oral instructions
• Research equipment and software including audio systems, video display technologies, teleconferencing, AV signal management, and integrated controls
• Stay current with latest technology trends and incorporate new technologies into planning
• Perform light office duties, including inventory tracking, organizing event materials, updating software, deliveries and other activities as assigned
• Interact with a variety of departments, as well as with customers and corporate partners
• Local travel needed, upon completion of the initial training period
Qualifications:
• Proficient working in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible and willing to step in and provide hands-on assistance as needed
• Able to gather comprehensive information to support decision marking
• Support and represent in a professional manner at all times
• Adaptable to interpersonal style to suit different people or situations
• Experience and/or interest in developing skills related to corporate events
• High school diploma
