Job Description
We are seeking a Designer Assistant to support our Design team in our Greenville, SC office. This role assists with the production of A/V, automation, unified communications, conferencing, access control, security, surveillance and environment designs. This position is ideal for a Technician seeking to learn A/V design.
Responsibilities
• Prepares system design proposals in iPoint Designer for all Fusion divisions.
• Prepares system drawings, schematics and project documentation.
• Completes field tasks and service technician duties.
• Maintains working knowledge of current custom integration technology to design reliable systems.
• Imports products into operational system and accessorizes all parts in operational system.
• Researches product capabilities and specifications.
• Provides detailed project communication between all departments.
• Meets department and project deadlines as directed by Lead Designer.
• Adheres to Fusion operational processes and procedures and quality control standards.
Qualifications
• One to three years in the audio, video, and/or broadcast industry as a Field Technician preferred
• CAD/Visio experience preferred
• Ability to travel overnight, for project support and training
• Possess strong written and oral English communication skills
• Detail oriented and organized; multi-tasker
• Ability to work under pressure
• Maintains strict confidentiality with client and company information
• Clean driving record and background check
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Proficiency using hand and power tools
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work on ladders, lifts and at high elevations
• Be currently authorized to work in the United States
